Facilities Technician

Job Summary
Purpose
Under general supervision, support the operation, maintenance, calibration, and repair activities relating to Tiger San Diego’s cGMP Manufacturing Plant and Tiger San Diego Offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain manufacturing and facility equipment
- Read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics
- Maintain areas of the facility in a state of FDA inspection readiness
- Complete annual, monthly, weekly and daily maintenance and calibration activities
- Perform equipment and facility maintenance per schedule
- Perform limited equipment repairs
- Troubleshoot and support the resolution of quality issues
- Assist with oversight of various site service providers
- Support the change management system for validated equipment, utilities and facilities
- Understanding of facilities and utilities infrastructure
- Knowledge of building management systems (Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.)
- Knowledge to operate CMMS software (BMRAM, Maximo, etc.)
- Ability to work in an environment with little or no supervision
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and biological safety guidelines and standards
- Ability to handle confidential data
- Ability to interface with many levels of employees of various disciplines within various departments
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes

Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution, or construction trade school required
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a cGMP manufacturing plant
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces that require stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to climb and reach
- Valid driver\'s license
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required
