Purpose
The Business Analyst is responsible for documenting business processes, creating business and functional requirements for projects, and providing reporting support across the enterprise. This position serves a critical role for developing, implementing and refining core business processes. The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between internal business process SMEs and external vendors to understand processes and needs. This role is critical for project support and operational maintenance of core business processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business functions and needs to document requirements and translate from the business to functional level.
- Develop, create, and maintain process flow charts or diagrams to identify substandard systems and processes, assist with problem solving, and ensure business functional alignment.
- Present findings to decision makers and collaborate with department leadership to ensure successful implementation of changes.
- Maintain project requirements and act as source of truth on performance and delivery of requirements by third party vendors.
- Develop or assist with project deliverable timelines associated with business requirements developed with third party vendors.
- Plan and assist with oversight of testing processes and activities including defect identification and resolution.
- Test and validate deliverables for conformance to requirements.
- Create and/or sustain forecasting of sales or production data as needed.
- Build financial models to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures.
- Travel domestically up to 20% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives.
- Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings.
- Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes.
- Maintain flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Power BI, Tableau, NetSuite Analytics, Salesforce CRM Reporting
- Excellent project leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, business administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green, Yellow or Black) is highly preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a business analyst, or a similar role, required.
- At least 1 year of experience with major software system implementations required.
- At least 1 year of experience writing and developing business requirements; experience writing both business and functional requirements preferred.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives and implementing best practices is a plus.
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required.
