Purpose

The Director of Human Resources for Global Operations is responsible for planning, leading, and managing human resource activities across all subsidiaries within Tiger BioSciences. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role serves as a strategic partner to the VP, ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with the organization’s mission, strategy, and values while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Director also oversees the management and optimization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to enhance efficiency and consistency across all business units.
 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Human Resources to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and business objectives
  • Design and implement a HR global, shared services model to support M&A strategy and initiatives
  • Standardize and align HR policies and procedures across all business units/subsidiaries; consistently review and revise Employee Handbook
  • Serve as advisor to HR leaders on policies, procedures and global programs
  • Facilitate process and program implementation across all business units to support organizational alignment and best practice
  • Direct and oversee the administration of human resource programs, including policy design and compliance, compensation, payroll, benefits administration, employee and labor relations, performance and talent management, and employee retention
  • Provide strategic leadership for global HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards
  • Oversee and optimize the HRIS platform to ensure consistent HR processes across subsidiaries
  • Establish and enforce standardized HR policies, procedures, and practices across all subsidiaries while accommodating local needs as appropriate
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring strategies across all subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and labor market conditions
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, WC, and EEO requirements, across all business units
  • Establish and monitor HR metrics and provide regular reporting on workforce trends, compliance, and performance
  • Support current and future business needs by developing strategies for employee engagement, retention, and leadership development
  • Oversee onboarding and training processes to ensure consistent employee experience across all subsidiaries
  • Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
  • Utilize Excel and other data analysis tools to compile, analyze, and present workforce metrics, including turnover rates, hiring trends, and compliance reports, ensuring data-driven decision-making
  • Manage, mentor, and develop global HR staff, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
  • Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across subsidiaries
  • Proactively identify gaps, trends and areas of opportunity to ensure efficiency and best practice
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Comprehensive expertise in HR management, including policy standardization and process optimization

  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making
  • Strong analytical skills/mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement through data, analytics, and feedback
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to managing tasks and responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, from an accredited college or university required
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in human resources with progressive management responsibilities/experience highly preferred
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent highly preferred
  • Clearance of favorable background investigation required
