Senior Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary
Purpose
As a key member of the department, the Senior Inventory Control Specialist will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining optimal supply par levels based on manufacturing forecasts and play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing inventory control. The position will be responsible for daily ordering, tracking and communication with internal key stakeholders, ensuring a streamlined inflow of supplies and contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse, production and distribution teams to improve inventory accuracy and streamline processes
- Help receive orders and check against stock and inventory records. (Delivery Dashboard and working with Buyer)
- Help Buyer plan and forecast ordering of inventory items such as stock, equipment, and parts
- Monitoring inventory levels and planning delivery schedules
- Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
- Establish cycle counts of Direct/Indirect inventory items on a regular basis. (Inventory Days)
- Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory items
- Monitoring supplier performance and analyzing discrepancies. (Delivery Dashboard)
- Monitor inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and assist in development of strategies to mitigate them
- Analyze inventory trends and provide reports on stock levels, usage, and potential risks
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, R&D, distribution, sales, QA, and regulatory affairs
- Serve as key team member on software implementations related to supply chain and support Inventory Program Manager (NetSuite)
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
- Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to develop and implement basic inventory management system with par levels
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to change, and drive results in a dynamic setting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to build and manage relationships with agile and responsive key stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in inventory management
- Ability to secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an analyst or inventory management (preferably both) in a manufacturing industry preferred.
- Valid Class “C” driver’s license
