Director, IT Business Partner – Finance

Job Summary

Purpose

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Business Partner to lead the technology roadmap for our financial systems, with a strong focus on NetSuite. This Director-level role will serve as the primary liaison between IT and Finance, ensuring that our systems effectively support business operations across General Ledger, Purchase-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes. The role will also support special projects across other G&A functions, including Human Resources, Legal, Business Development and Procurement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Finance and G&A leadership, aligning technology initiatives with business goals
  • NetSuite Ownership: Lead the configuration, optimization, and roadmap for NetSuite ERP, particularly in Financials (GL, P2P, O2C)
  • Project Leadership: Drive end-to-end delivery of financial systems and G&A-related projects, including vendor management, budgeting, and change management
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and reporting
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Procurement, HR, and Legal to ensure seamless system integration and adoption
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure systems meet internal controls, SOX compliance, and data security standards
  • Innovation & Scalability: Evaluate and implement new technologies, SuiteApps, and automation tools to support business growth
  • Special Projects: Support and lead occasional initiatives across G&A functions such as HRIS enhancements, contract lifecycle management, and procurement automation

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT or Business Systems roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven experience as an IT Business Partner or Director supporting Finance or ERP systems
  • Hands-on NetSuite expertise is required, especially in General Ledger, Purchase-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • This position requires the ability to travel, as needed, to support multi-site collaboration, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FP&A, Treasury, and Tax solutions is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with SuiteApps, NetSuite integrations, or middleware platforms
  • Background in manufacturing, SaaS, or multi-entity environments is a plus
