Purpose
The Senior Director of Planning & Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the supply chain business strategy by directing the activities of the supply chain division within each business unit, which includes procurement, master scheduling, planning, inventory control, and warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage purchasing, planning, and supply chain strategies to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, increase performance, and support the organization\'s overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee supply chain operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
- Establish and direct implementation of supply chain policies, practices, and standard operating procedures throughout the organization.
- Direct standardization and oversee management of product demand forecasting and planning to guide raw material and supply inventory ordering and allocations, production scheduling, contract manufacturing arrangements, and distribution planning.
- Oversee the procurement process, to include vendor selection, pricing negotiation, and contract/vendor management.
- Direct and oversee systematic inventory management processes through technology and reporting as well as partner with sourcing managers and suppliers to develop multi-node supply chain visibility.
- Direct and oversee inventory control system to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce wastage, and improve cash flow.
- Analyze and optimize logistics and distribution processes to reduce lead times and improve cost-efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational forecasting strategies and processes to optimize resource allocation and meet demand requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, finance, and sales to align operational forecasts with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational output predictability.
- Monitor inventory levels and production capacity to ensure alignment with forecasted demand.
- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on operational forecasts, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain records in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures.
- Manage direct reports.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to develop leadership in direct reports and department management.
- Establish and monitor objective annual goals for direct reports.
- Conduct performance reviews and establish performance improvement plans as needed.
- Recruit, interview, and select personnel for hire.
- Travel domestically up to 20% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives.
- Start job duties on time, stay on the job throughout the assigned shift to complete duties properly, and attend all scheduled meetings and appointments.
- Work outside normal business hours during weekdays and on the weekend as needed to support business/operational needs.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, logistics, distribution, or related field required.
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required.
